We typically price based on how much space your items take up in our truck, which gives a more accurate picture of actual cost than a flat per-item rate that doesn't account for the difference between a small pile and a packed garage.

Item type matters too. Some items require more labor or special handling than others. A hot tub, for example, often requires disassembly before it can be safely removed, which adds time and effort compared to hauling a couch. Appliances containing refrigerants require specific disposal handling as well. We factor these considerations into pricing so the quote reflects the actual work involved, not just a generic hauling fee.

Access to the items being removed also affects cost. Junk that's easily accessible from a driveway or garage costs less to remove than items located up several flights of stairs, in a tight basement, or in a location requiring extra time and effort to safely extract. We ask about access when quoting a job so there aren't surprises once our crew arrives.

For larger jobs like estate cleanouts, hoarding cleanouts, or full construction debris removal, we assess the scope in more detail, since these jobs often involve a wider mix of item types and volume than a standard residential pickup.
